Sean Samford Love the quite drive of 'into the Mountains' and all the songs here but to really get her thing you should see Renee put all this together live. Shugga Shug is great too. Favorite track: into the Mountains.

a Seed of Questionable Origin put it deep in the ground u don't know if it spouts u don't know u put a seed in the ground u don't know what you're getting into until u see the fruit if it's sweet teardrop if it was a tree it would make a hundred thousand tear-drop leaves and you'd live in the shade happily ever after one short century better off as a flower a dandelion in the heat of summer and a wish you'd receive one wish only guaranteed, but wish for a hundred yellow weeds. put it deep in the ground u don't know if it spouts u don't know u put a seed in the ground u don't know what you're getting into until u see the fruit if it's sweet

the Morning Light the morning light came into the room where i was sleeping now it's much too bright and i must look upon the things i left behind and u, u are gone up on a mountain side with a pack full of food and a very small knife to protect u from the lonely nights, and the bears that will eat u alive your skin and all your tender insides your sweet juicy heart like a cherry and your blood as rich as wine that will feed the poor creatures just like Jesus Christ in the morning light the day was much too bright and i must look upon the things he left behind

the Desert 04:43
the Desert they say the desert is hot and lonely and only ho-spitable to some and truly, de-solate, and hot but it is not so terribly lone-some see i went to the West u have to go al-one. to see the things that appear only to some and i went, the the West to turn over some stones and find the things you can only find al-one and the Desert, if given time and s p a c e eventually, will turn to the sea so that the ocean waves make fog to feed the endlesss redwood trees turned the car, to the North to find some clear and cold come twilight I will fill the sky with sparks and there, in the Dark by the light of fallen trees I found a little plastic effigy. still many more miles to go and where ever I stop will be home and should u forgive me, I'll go to where ever u are. Because there in the Dark, by the light of fallen trees I found u in the dirt while I was digging for me. And there, in the Dark, Eight thousand miles from the start, it still, is u...

Out of Tune Guitar out of tune guitar out of tune just like my bro-ken heart it wasn't bro-ken by a man it just split into two i walked from room to room one half was in each hand but we… we were all out of glue. they say, if u have no band-aid pour whiskey on the wound, until… the pain it goes a-way. they say, if u are dying in the desert put sand all in your eyes you'll see the thirst it goes a-way. out of tune guitar out of tune just like my brok-en heart.

into the Mountains and i don't know why we have to go but we do and soon and i don't know how the flowers grow in the cold but they do told my mom i'd miss her so but we agreed real long ago but we agreed long time ago if i got thru school i could be a hobo said oh my darling daughter how i love u so i once was a traveler i've seen many roads with songs in your heart who needs a home with songs in our hearts who needs a home? but what if it starts to snow and they close all the roads and we're stuck in the cold in Colorado at thirteen thousand feet we'll write songs inside of the jeep and we'll be warmed by the harmoniees and the whisskey and oh my darling we've come all this way and is it just me or has the sky turned gray? oh my darling traveler, how I love u so but the snow is falling faster and soon will take the road and oh how I'm so scared of the cold oh how I'm so scared of the cold. oh my darling traveler, no we shall not die the snow storm it will take us and cover us in ice but in seven hundred years it will be alright when the scientists bring us back to life

Shugga Shug 05:09
Shugar-Shug Dearest Sugar cube, last on in the bowl. What is this life dear? And why, must we go? Where are your brothers? Where are your brothers, have they gone to tea? Where are your brothers? Where are your brothers; I thought them all so sweet. And oh how you've changed, from the sugar cane. From the forgotten planes the places we've drained of Florida. Such a shame And when you sleep what do you dream? Are your nightmares coffee and cream? Is it death dear, was there much pain? When the tiny black ants came to take u grain by grain? And back to the tunnels again. Dearest Sugar cube, last one in the bowl. What is this life dear? And why must we go? Where are your brothers? Oh, where are your brothers, have they gone, to tea? Where are your brothers? Oh, where are your brothers; I thought them all, so sweet.

Winter 05:19
Winter Winter moves all around, slowly, until it climbs in bed and holds me. and my hot blood from Florida froze quick in Montana and in came the Cold thru a small mouse hole. He moved into my room took bites of all my food and shit all over the floor so… I wouldn't be so… I would be so lo… I wouldn't be so lonely, anymore. Winter comes back around now with all his friends, the Dark and the Cold they have found u again. and my paper heart from Florida got soaked thru in Louisiana all the dry courage I found in the West and held tight in my chest got left out in the Rain and thru the leak I forgot to mend the Dark found his way in and then, Held mass every Sunday, the choir composed in my chest we gossip and complain coffee and cake, and then to God we raise our voice and pray we say Rain Rain go away come a-back another day Rain Rain go and give the tired hearts a break and warm the bed I fin'lly made and dry the church for Sunday and forgive the tired hearts. Rain Rain go away and come a-back another day rain rain go, and forgive the tired hearts.

about

u are the u

evolved from the sing-songwriter beginnings into some deep, dark and lovely with harmonies, symphonies and personified single syllable entities that almost, (but not quite) become friends.

feat. The Dark, the Cold, the West, the North, Rain, the Desert and of course, one little existential sugar cube.
